8-Seater Passenger & Luggage Guide
Important: eight passengers plus eight large cases and eight hand-luggage items is not guaranteed to fit every 8-seater. Vehicle model, seat layout and actual case dimensions all matter. Tell us exactly what you are bringing so the correct vehicle can be planned.
Passenger Count Is Only Half the Story
An 8-seater taxi or private hire vehicle is often a practical choice for families and groups who want to travel together. But passenger numbers aren’t everything. Large suitcases, golf clubs, buggies, mobility equipment and oversized bags all affect the space available. The right vehicle depends on both the number of passengers and their luggage.
Looking for a 7-Seater Taxi in Glasgow?
You don’t need a group of eight to choose our 8-seater private hire category. If you’re travelling with seven passengers, an appropriately licensed larger vehicle can be a suitable choice for Glasgow Airport transfers, family journeys, events and days out. Customers searching for a 7-seater taxi can use our booking service to compare the available larger-vehicle options. Always include your full passenger count and luggage requirements so we can arrange a vehicle with suitable licensed capacity.
Vehicles may vary — but we do not downgrade agreed capacity.
If you book a larger vehicle for your group, we will not substitute a saloon or smaller vehicle that cannot meet the passenger and luggage requirements agreed for your journey.
A larger or higher-category suitable vehicle may be supplied where operationally appropriate. Exact make, model, colour and seating layout may vary unless something specific has been agreed in advance.
