- About Us & How We Operate
1.1 Glasgow 8 Seaters provides a pre-booked private hire transport booking and dispatch service.
1.2 Depending on the booking, Glasgow 8 Seaters operates in one of the following ways:
• as the transport supplier, where the journey is driven directly by us; or
• as a booking and dispatch agent, where the journey is supplied by an independent, licensed private hire driver (“Contracted Driver”).
1.3 Where a journey is supplied by a Contracted Driver, that driver is the transport service provider, and Glasgow 8 Seaters acts solely as an agent arranging the booking.
1.4 By making a booking (via website, WhatsApp, email, phone, or any other method), you confirm that you understand and accept this arrangement.

- Bookings & Confirmations
2.1 A booking is only confirmed once accepted in writing by Glasgow 8 Seaters.
Written confirmation includes WhatsApp messages, email, or SMS.
2.2 It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all booking details are correct, including:
• pick-up and drop-off locations
• date and time
• passenger numbers
• luggage details
• flight number (for arrivals, if applicable)
2.3 We are not responsible for delays, cancellations, or issues arising from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer.

- Pricing, Payments & Deposits
3.1 Prices are agreed and confirmed prior to travel, based on the details provided at the time of booking.
3.2 A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure a booking.
3.3 The remaining balance must be paid as agreed, either prior to or at the time of travel.
3.4 Unless confirmed in writing, prices do not include:
• meet & greet services
• waiting time beyond agreed free allowances
• tolls, parking charges, or airport access fees

- Cancellations & Refunds
Private Customers
4.1 Deposits are non-refundable.
4.2 Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the booking time may receive a partial refund at our discretion, after deducting any non-refundable deposit or unrecoverable costs.
4.3 Cancellations made within 24 hours of the booking time are non-refundable.
Company / Corporate Bookings
4.4 Cancellations made within 48 hours of travel are non-refundable.
4.5 No-shows are charged in full.

- Waiting Time & No-Shows
5.1 The first 10 minutes of waiting are free unless otherwise agreed.
5.2 Waiting beyond this period may be charged at the rate confirmed during booking.
5.3 If no contact is made within 30 minutes of the agreed pick-up time, the driver may leave and the booking will be treated as completed, with no refund due.

- Flights, Delays & Missed Connections
6.1 We are not responsible for missed flights, connections, or onward travel under any circumstances, including traffic delays, accidents, roadworks, weather, or vehicle issues.
6.2 Customers are responsible for allowing sufficient travel time and are strongly advised to hold adequate travel insurance.
6.3 Flight tracking is provided for airport arrivals only, where flight details have been supplied. Flight tracking does not apply to drop-offs.

- Vehicles, Passengers & Luggage
7.1 Vehicles are allocated based on the passenger and luggage details provided at booking.
7.2 All luggage must fit safely within designated storage areas.
Luggage may not be placed on seats or in footwells.
7.3 If luggage exceeds capacity:
• an additional vehicle may be required (subject to availability), or
• the booking may be cancelled with no refund.
7.4 Oversized or special items (e.g. buggies, golf clubs, large boxes) must be declared at the time of booking.

- Vehicle Substitution & Route Selection
8.1 Where necessary, we reserve the right to supply a similar or upgraded vehicle at no extra charge.
8.2 The driver will select the most appropriate route on the day, taking into account traffic and safety. Customer route requests are subject to driver approval.

- Breakdowns & Service Disruptions
9.1 In the event of a breakdown or unforeseen issue, reasonable efforts will be made to arrange a replacement vehicle.
9.2 If no replacement can be arranged, liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected journey.
9.3 We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

- Passenger Conduct
10.1 Abusive, aggressive, dangerous, or inappropriate behaviour may result in immediate termination of the journey with no refund.
10.2 Drivers reserve the right to refuse or end a journey where safety is compromised.

- Liability
11.1 Glasgow 8 Seaters is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including missed flights, accommodation costs, or loss of earnings.
11.2 Where we act as an agent, liability for the transport service rests with the Contracted Driver.

- Governing Law
12.1 These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland.
Corporate, trade, and third-party bookings are additionally governed by our Corporate & Trade Booking Addendum.
